Session Two Presenters' Bios Dr. Richard F. Green Richard Green, Senior Vice President -- Organizational Effectiveness at Mellon Financial, is a senior human resources executive with 20 years of line and staff human resources experience. Having joined Mellon in November 2000, he is responsible for Mellon's career systems and culture building initiatives. Richard has held executive positions at Unisys, Campbell Soup Company, Subaru and AT&T Corp. During his career, he has performed a wide range of human resources roles including both the development of key HR processes and the delivery of like programs as a line HR executive. Before joining Mellon, Richard spent the last five years at Unisys Corp. in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. His last position at Unisys was as Corporate Vice President, Business Effectiveness. He also held the position of Corporate VP, Management & Leadership Development. Among his accomplishments at Unisys was the installation of an integrated talent management system for managers and executives. This included individual assessment; bottoms-up talent reviews; succession management, and a process for developing high-potentials. Richard also implemented a distributed learning system, in addition to a competency-based core-training curriculum. Richard received his MA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh where his research focused on organizational systems and behavior. He is a licensed Management Psychologist, and he serves on a number of national professional boards and committees. |
