over six thousand 10th and 12th Graders and hundreds of employers will participate
with Keys2Work in

program. EZ Gold is a special
program offering employees of many organizations the convenient and
economical way to receive monthly
transit passes on a pre-tax basis, at their work site through payroll
deduction or employer purchase.
Employees who participate in the program do not pay federal income or
FICA and FUTA unemployment
taxes on each employee enrolled in the program.
Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board
ORGANIZATION: Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board
DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBIT: The TRWIB is charged with creating a coherent and accountable local
employment and training system. As an employer-driven, policy-making board, the TRWIB builds on the
success of its predecessors - the Pittsburgh Private Industry Council and the Allegheny County Commission
for Workforce Excellence. The creation of local workforce investment boards (WIBs) is a major provision
of
the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998, the federal legislation that consolidated sources of
employment
and training programs. Under the WIA, WIBs are responsible for establishing local
performance standards,
chartering one stop service delivery centers and satellites (referred to as the
"CareerLink Network" in Pennsylvania),
selecting qualified service providers, and monitoring performance
to ensure accountability. They are prohibited
from delivering services. Board members, appointed by the
Mayor and the County Executive, represent a
diverse group of stakeholders - including employers,
training providers, labor unions, government agencies, and
community-based organizations. What unifies
them is a shared concern about the quality of the workforce and
the availability of good jobs in this region.
The TRWIB's staff consists of an executive director, a planner, a
policy analyst and an administrative
assistant.

ORGANIZATION: Workforce Connections, Pennsylvania Economy League
DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBIT: The Workforce Connections exhibit will highlight two programs funded by
the
organization: "People Do Matter: Recognizing Innovation in Human Resources" and PROWL, the
Pittsburgh
Region's Organization and Workforce Link. The People Do Matter Initiative recognizes regional
employers that
have demonstrated innovation in human resources practices. Nominations are currently
being accepted for this

YouthWorks - Youth Employment and Training
ORGANIZATION: YouthWorks, Inc.

Our goal is to partner with as many employers in the region and our materials highlight all of the
services we provide
