One of the objectives of the Healthcare Workforce Summit was to initiate specific actions in response to issues and ideas identified at the Summit.  Evaluations completed by Summit participants echoed the need for follow-up.  An event, no matter how successful, serves only as a good start. Accordingly, a "Healthcare Cluster Consortium" has been established to manage follow-up actions.

Healthcare Cluster Consortium
The Healthcare Cluster Consortium will serve as the principal point of contact for all matters relating to the greater interests of the workforce development system and demand needs of the healthcare industry cluster.  It is hoped that through dedicated efforts, the Healthcare Cluster Consortium will promote economic revitalization and regional competitiveness in the Mahoning Valley.  A Cluster Coordinator will organize the regional voice of the employers in a particular industry segment and facilitate the connections between that employer voice and supply-side partners.  For more information on the Healthcare Cluster Consortium, contact Karla Krodel, Cluster Coordinator, at 330-941-2303.
